Academic scheduling in the 21st century with our new Timetabler application

At Scientia, partnership is an important part of our development philosophy.  Scientia has created software with those and for those using it.  Scientia has engaged on the ambitious task of redefining academic scheduling within the 21st century with our new Timetabler application designed exclusively to run on the Syllabus Plus Anywhere platform.

An important part of this partnership model is the reference group.  The reference group comprises of users from around the globe, representing a range of institutions who use a variety of scheduling methodologies.  Scientia collectively discusses development directions and together the reference group and the Scientia product management team shape the direction of future services and product development.

A set of scheduling services is now available within Timetabler and Scientia have released the Timetabler application with these services to the reference group members to review, feedback and make recommendations about to grow and enrich the feature sets of this new and exciting service development.

This is a significant milestone in the development of Scientia’s new market leading, cloud-based services on the Syllabus Plus Anywhere platform.

The reference group feedback and guidance ensure that what Scientia develop is both functional and performant, and ready for consideration by institutions as they move to the Anywhere platform, and the Timetabler application. When Scientia users move across will be up to them. As new scheduling services are added there will be a point where users determine Timetabler is what they need to support their processes to support academic curriculum delivery.
