Positive feedback from Northern Ireland FE Seminar   Published:15/07/2008

Scientia ran a seminar hosted by Belfast Metropolitan College on the 2nd July for all of the Northern Ireland Further Education Colleges that use Scientia's Enterprise Timetabler system.

The seminar was set up as a forum for the colleges to discuss issues around the recent enlargement and amalgamation of FE colleges in Northern Ireland as well as to see presentations of, and discuss, Scientia's recent software. In addition, the event looked at software due to be released shortly and other systems planned for the future.

Duncan Corbett (Enterprise Product Manager) showed slides on updates of the Enterprise suite as well as on new software including Student Allocator, Timetable Calendar Service and Staff Workload Planner. Duncan also demonstrated the new Enterprise software.

The QLS link, which has caused some problems for users recently, was discussed at length and Matt Finney (Scientia's Support Manager) took away comments with a view to coming up with a solution.

Colleges represented at the meeting include Belfast Metropolitan College, South East Regional College, Southern Regional College, North West Regional College and South Western College.

Delegates offered very positive feedback and proposed that as a group they arrange to meet to continue the positive discussions around common experiences.
